Be mindful of the blast direction when setting them up...

Only one time did I run the seat belt through the doors. I was at a truck stop, the restaurant closed at 8pm! I had slept during the afternoon preparing for the next run and missed the "open hours". So I ordered a pizza from Dominoes. I hate them but it was easy to find the number.

They called back and said, "Sorry, we don't deliver in that area". It was in their delivery range, they just didn't go in the area I was in!!! Hehehehee

But there were no incidents even there.

Be careful carrying the tazer as it is s felony in some places. If you travel to Michigan, New York, and some other places have strict regulations on mace.

Lock your doors, park in a lit area if possible, 21 oz east wing claw tire thumper.

I would be more concerned when entering or exiting my truck especially in places like rest areas. I always carry a pocket knife or two. Be alert of your surroundings and suspicious activity. The answer to strangers is "NO"!

Here is an article I found very informative.

I have never really worried about it. In some areas where I know there is a history of issues, I make sure I have weapons at hand just in case and I sleep light.
I know people that keep some wasp spray around, just in case of bee's. Never know if you may be allergic so better safe than sorry. And they shoot over 20 feet.
Tire thumper works well. Back when I started in the early 90s I carried a small 20 ga. But have not bothered in years as the laws changed in various states, and just was not worth the trouble.
Tire thumpers are good. Since you can explain it's presence to cops easy enough.
Some people when parked in really bad areas will tie a rope from one door pull handle to the other. This keeps people out very well. But also makes it very hard for you to get out of the truck if there is a problem and you have to exit fast. So if you do this make it a good loop, that you an put a quick release on if you have to get out fast due to fire or any other emergency.

The best thing you can do is pay attention to where you park and walk. Always stand tall and be aware. Most thieves are looking for the easy victim. People that walk looking at the ground looking like the weight of the world is on them. These people are easy targets.

What are some ideas to keep someone from getting the jump on you when you are sleeping? I was thinking when I get my own truck one day maybe some impact resistant windows of some sort or some type of motion detector on the steps that will trigger lights or alarm. Anyone ever had a situation like this?
I wake up if the truck moves in an unexpected way, like when someone steps on the running boards. It's at this point that I grab the tire thumper and begin to pray they continue to break in. Did I mention that I'm 6'5" and 300lbs?

IDK what volts they put out but when ya get shocked by one it will put ya on the ground! there is some that 6 feet long to 3 feet. I think 3 feet would be good inside the cab! Its even better when your a BullHauler

3 or 4 D cell maglite does just fine. Swing that across their nose and it will change their mind real quick, if it doesn't, move their nose to their ear.
