Transferring my new CDL from Indiana to Ohio

I am an Ohio resident planning to take CDL training with C1 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Upon further research, I have more questions than answers and I hope some of you recent grads can help me out. I understand that the first step is to transfer my Ohio Operators License to Indiana by taking their automobile operators test. To do so, I need the regular proof of identity PLUS 2 documents proving an Indiana residency. How am I to come up with those? Once that is done and I get my CDL tests completed, I have to go back to Ohio and (according to the Ohio BMV website) take the Ohio Operators License written test all over again as a "New Resident" because my license is coming over from Indiana. Here are my questions:
    1. How will I prove Indiana residency in order to be allowed to test? Rumor has it that the school takes care of that. Hmmm.
    2. Did [you] have to take [your] written and skills test in Ohio in order to "keep it legal" and be licensed in [your] home state again?
    3. Did [you] have to take the CDL written and/or skills test AGAIN in Ohio? If so, how do you get a truck to use?

I really don't want to get stuck with a huge schooling bill over clerical and administrative red tape. I'm looking for answers from anyone who has done this in 2012 particularly since the Proof of Residency requirements became more stringent this year.

C1 has arrangements with the dmv's in the cities their schools are in. they make allowances for students.
