Driving in the Northeast?

I have read many posts where many people have said that they do not like driving in the Northeast. I am just wondering why? Is it due to traffic, tolls, snow, what? Not driving for a living yet, I was wondering what you drivers think.

Thanks

All the the above plus its hard to find a good place to
pull over and sleep without being harrassed. Add to all
that lousy bumpy roads ( I broke my exhaust in the NYC area)

There are places in the northeast (like Jersey) that are just a pain, they don't have the same road "set up" like other states, for instance when you get off an off ramp cuz you went to far there MAYNOT be an on ramp for you to get on going back the way you need to get, its just a crazy road set up. Most of the roads through and around the towns aren't wide enough to accommodate a big rig without some careful driving and the 4wheelers could care less.

The drivers cut you off, will run beside you (while you have your blinker on to make a lane change) and not let you over, there are not very many places to park/rest and honestly most of the people in the truck stops/service plaza are just plain rude......
