Are there any new drivers on here going to C1 INDY on 9/10/12. If so let whats your intake on PAM and what all have you been told. I just put my 2 weeks in today at my job and I am heading to C1 on the 10th. I have read alot of good and bad about it but i think that its going to be a good move. I would like to find someone that is going to school with me that would make a good team member. I want to find someone that wants to keep moving as much as possible for more money.

Beg for your job back. Don't do it! They will train you for three weeks and expext you to pass the CDL driving test. Even if you pass, the job isn't guaranteed. Save me ney up and fo to a tech college that offers CDL training. It will be cheaper and less worrying.

The experience you have with a company really depends on what you make of it. I was considering PAM myself. Pretty much all of the company sponsored training programs have you on the hook for at least a year so they will probably use and abuse their students more than their experienced drivers.

Just bite your tongue, do a good job, and pay your dues and the industry will be wide open for ya. Good luck! :)

Ya thats the way i look at it. You have to start somewhere even if you have to work harder.

I'll be there. I'm going to USA though. Will be nice to meet someone from here. I was originally going to PAM so I researched them a lot. Like any company, they each have their pros and cons. ~Kristi

just like the messages here, you will get to school and go through the rumor mill, be careful what you hear, went through the program 6 months ago, they did what they said, along the way there were so many chicken little rumors. you will work your ##### off, nothing is free and if you are not serious or lazy you will be weeded out jus like any other company, i see their general way of looking for potential empoyees just as if i were looking for some workers, i finished in 3 weeks, some people 4-5-6 and at that point it would be wise to quit, yes that truck really looked big the first week, but amazingly got small after one week, i worked real hard and was out of there on schedule, you may wait around between 1-4 weeks be persistant and call, orentation is sort of a refresher, although once you get to training with the trainer general hands on knowledge will start to sink in. again perserverence is key, this is not a walk in the park, i was out 5 weeks although again I did not whine or complain, I was learning to be a professional truck driver. I had one helluva trainer, if you think this job is sitting back and sipping lemonade taking it easy you better think again I have been fighting the employment fight, and beleive me it is 24/7X3wks+ 1500 miles a trip on teams be ready to see the country.
