Unhappy Newbie needing help...lost my wallet with my CDL inside...at a truck stop

Hello, the last time I posted anything on this forum, I was looking to see what company to join up with along with what school to attend. I have either been in school, over the road with a trainer, or just recently upgraded...and that is why I have not been able to get to a computer to tell ya all how I like it. Well, I joined Central Ref. And I can say that I like it, alot!! I have been upgraded now about 2 weeks...but ran into a snag today.
My truck has been in the Salt Lake city UTAH terminal getting fixed the last 3 days. Well, I bobtailed to the Flying J's last night for dinner. I decided to sleep here as well. My husband and I went inside to take a shower this morining...sunday march 11th. I went to the fuel island and straight to the shower room. While in the shower roon, I notieced my purse was not with me. I left the room after the shower and back tracked to the fuel island. My purse is no where to be found. I dont know if I dropped it and someone picked it up and never returned it, or if somone took it from me with out knowing it....etc....
anyway, my drivers lic....cdl. along with Social sec card and all my fuel cards along with a truck Key were in mmy wallet.

MY JOB FEELS LIKE IT IS DONE, DONE, DONE NOW!!!

I am here at the flying j's for the day/night...to see if it shows up. In the morning I will go back to the terminal and report everything gone.
I do not know what to expect...Parts of me FEEL like the company will shut me down, and put me out...meaning....I FEEL like they will say
"Well, no CDL, No Fuel Cards, No Job!!" I feel like they will tell me to get out all my stuff and go home. The problem is...I have everything I own with me...along with my husband. Any money I had, was in that wallet...and I do not get paid for 3 more days....If they fire me, thier policy is that they KEEP my last pay check. So....I feel very stranded right now!!!
I guess the BEST cas senerio would be the following:
The company tells me....No problem...We can replace your fuel cards right here right now, and you can be shuttled to the local DMV to get a replacement CDL..The local CMV might give you a paper temporary card for now...that will work just fine. As far as your SS card....just reaply for it, but we have your card on file, so we will not need it right away. As far as your health card being lost...we will just reissue you a new one. All is fine, and at most I miss one more day of work...easy easy.....
That my friends, is my WISH list...not the bad things I said in the paragraph before this one..

I do have internet access....so at least for today, if anyone has suggestions...PLEASE HELP!!
Thanks so much,
Texashelly
ps...i posted this in another thread...but this thread might be better suited for my questions. sorry for the confusion this may of caused. I just need help with this question and time is of the essence. SMILES

I hate to hear that you are going through this and I really don't know what to tell you except contact your company asap. They need to deactivate the fuel card. I know you are a female, but this is what I did as a male. I had a small thin wallet. Very small bought it at Walmart. I kept my cash and CDL, fuel card, important cards in it. I had a dummy wallet with a few bucks and unimportant stuff in it. Reason was if I were to get robbed I would have given my dummy wallet away and still have my credentials.

Your welcome. I wasn't much help, but never encountered that before. The other tip I thought I would put out there in case somebody liked the idea.

Okay there is a few things you can do
1. Call your states BMV and have them fax you a missing/lost license document.. This is good in all states to drive on (I think for 7 days then you need to have them resend if you can't get home)

2. A lesser secure way would be to have your company fax you a copy of your license, ( all companies have this on record) You can still get a ticket for not having your license with you if you choose this method but it is better then nothing...

After you get home is the big problem (takes like 2-3 weeks or something like that to get a social security card.. I dunno how your state is about having proof who you are, where I live they are strict and if you don't have a social, birth, bank statement, bills with you address (they want all of that) your not getting a ID.. Whats funny is an illegal with no social or anything can get a drivers license (practically no proof who they say they are) with no troubles... Funny how are system....

All you should have to do is go to the states website and apply for a duplicate license right over the net.At least in my state you can do that, they will send it to the address they have on file.the only thing is you need a credit card to pay for the fee that they charge.

Dont know if it will work in your state but if it gets the ball rolling than you can tell the company that its being taken care of.

have your company send you a copy of your pic cdl info and use that until you get home to get it replaced, also your social security number info you gave your company for employment. they will issue you new cards etc. no problem if no funny business is found by your company, everything has been tried to scam companies out of money fuel etc., I believe you will be fine though, best of luck, let us know how you make out.
