Drivers

Do you get a lot of crazy drivers, not the truck drivers, but regular car traffic that think they own the road? Like anybody cutting you off or stuff like that or do most people give you the room you deserve with large truck you are driving?

Unfortunately, there is a MAJOR lack of respect from both the four-wheelers AND big trucks. Cars will pull in front of you and leave you no room, and then hit the brakes. Or cars that take the shoulder to pass you (mostly in Chicago).

My favorite was the one that was coming down a long on ramp, more than long enough to speed up and pull out far in front of me. Of course the idiot din't do that, came down the ramp so she would merge into the roadway even with my passenger door. I had slowed down when I saw her coming down the ramp (hoping she waould have sped up) but she didn't. She was forced to take the shoulder, honking and showing me I'm number 1. And then 30 mins later my qualcomm beeped with a msg to call safety, who asked me why I ran a car off the road!

And the other big trucks can be just as bad, so if you decide to drive, keep your head on a swivel and expect the unexpected!

I have no experience driving a big truck yet, as I am still in school. I do however pull a 33 foot fifth wheel RV behind my F350. I always try to keep a good distance in front of me, but people pull right in the spot I make. They figure I can stop as quickly as they can. Either that, they just don’t care if I rear end them.

Happens way too much.I had to slam on my breaks so a driver could make a right hand turn from the left lane,on the Interstate! She had NO clue I was there, almost wiped her and her small child off the road.If I hadn't hit my breaks,my front left tire would have been in her passenger seat! That is why I always pay attentioon to when I am being passed...This was not the first time on that location, idiotic drivers...

My favorite is when I have my flashers on backing up in a parking lot and people that can clearly go around the front of me insist on trying to thread the needle between my rearward moving trailer and the curb. It is amazing how humiliating for them an airhorn can be.
