| work history confused about 3 years vs. 10 years hello everyone. The question i have is i heard that while in orientation you will be required to fill out another app. and they want 10 years employment history. The other thing i heard was you need to only provide 3 years employment history if you never drove a cmv. Since I never drove CMV before will i need to provide 3 years or 10 years. I am concerned about this b/c i cant remember 10 years back lol. Most of the jobs i held a while ago were only like 3 to 6 months. Fast food jobs ect. Dead end jobs making no money. I thank you for your time and help. Drive safe and be safe. |

| Well, according to the FMCSA, I believe they have to ask you for ten years by law, BUT that doesn't mean they have to off the bat. They will probably make a hiring decision on three years history then have you fill in the blanks later. -D |

| Like previously stated you need THREE years of employment history if you have never held a commercial driving job before. TEN years of DRIVING employment if you have. |

| hey dale seeing as how you live in florida have you thought about oakley tank lines. or a smaller regional carrier. usually better pay and you wont get stuck in calif for 2 weeks with no load. just a thought.
