Knew you would for some reason. You had the same concerns I had when I went through that. And no parallel parking! Good luck on the next phase and enjoy that shiny new CDL.

I actually should give out kudos to the trainer Terry at TDI, I had to go up to Rex to explain that I needed some additional practice and I was able to get a trainer who has patience! There was some yard trainers who just weren't patient at all! Now I'm going to study up for the HazMat. I hope I don't lose any of what I learned because I'll be going to Dallas, Tx at the end of next month.

Backing requires setup. back towards the cone and start your turn about 5-6 feet before you get to it... it'll take that distance for the trailer to react to your steering. Never drive faster than idle speed (that's safety talking for all the pedal jockeys that hot dog it into parking spaces) and when your tandems get to the cone you should be cutting the tractor back straight again (by the time it reacts you will be 'in line' with the cones. As for the placement of your stop... that takes practice... and attention to the space time continuum.

    Yes, it's rocket science.

Practice the HazMat tests on here... if you can pass these, your passing the actual test will be a cake walk.
