Good Companies in Virginia

I live bout an hour west of Richmond VA. Can anyone tell me who are the better companies near here to drive for. There is a Walmart Dist Center & fuel stop 10 miles from me, so i see many trucks, ie: Schneider, JBHunt, Swift, TRL, etc.

I have thought bout moving to Indianapolis, have family there, and know that there are many companies there. Just want to see if Central VA is a good place to have as a Home Base for getting into the trucking business?

OH!!! here's the difficult part. What ever company I drive for MUST use Autoshift or Automatics. A disability requirement. Cuts the choices way down.

automatic ? your looking at usexpress then. schneider also has them and they run a dedicated account with that walmart. the company "ccc" is not far from you. that area you are in is a hot spot. hampton and suffolk are a big place to go. biagi bros is another and budweiser plant is across the street. hope this helps a little. i used to live in va. in that area.

talked to Schnieder a few months ago. The recruiter informed me that the had just purchased 2 Autoshift to see how they fair on the maintenance / performance side. I'd like to try SNI but with few Autoshifts, I'm not sure how that would work.. could not slipseat if the need arose
