Just go down the list, applying to everyone. Worst case is that they say no.
Above all, be up front and honest.fatherdirt88 Thanks this. -
i was with prime and they seem up tight and rude...

question...if you were employed, but worked under the table, why are you insisting on applications that you were unemployed? assuming you have an ex-employer that will vouch for your having worked there, and give you a decent reference, you should be using them. irs wont see your application...no need for you or your employer to worry about the fraud being brought to light.

Prime is pretty strict on having a fairly stable work history. When I applied with them they made me get 2 notarized letters verifying a 6 month employment gap from 2008 even though I had a job for over 2 years following that. I would assume this is to cut down on training people who may be less likely to stick around.
I did apply to a couple other places before prime and was accepted to their schools with no questions. The first was CR England, second was c1 trucking schools, from what I learned c1 does training for pam and usa truck. Both have training locations in multiple states, c1 has training in springfield if that was what you were looking for.
Those companies didn't seem right for me and you should research any company your thinking about going to, most that hire no experience will want you to stay for at least a year or you will be charged for the training. Don't want to get stuck with a poor quality company for a year or leave and end up owing them thousands.
The link MsJamie posted is a good place to start.fatherdirt88 Thanks this. -
Hey, you can try Western Express but your start off pay would be .22 - .27 CPM.
-
So I guess you didn't pay taxes on the 'under the table' earnings?
-
The issue with working "under the table" is that you are not legally employed with that company. Therefore, the job won't show up on a background check.
-
You need something to cover the unemployment; maybe a notorized letter from a family member or neighbor that you did odd jobs or the "under the table" guy will vouch for you or a fake job history such as http://thereferencestore.com/
Try these companies:
Paschall Truck Lines
Carolina Cargo
Buel Inc.
Western Express
Apergis Transportationfatherdirt88 Thanks this. -
The under the table pay was for a brief 6 month time. I have been unemployed and a stay at home dad for the past 6 years
