How far back do trucking company insurances base them selves to hire or not?

I live in Los Angeles, Ca. I went to a job interview for a good trucking company on 02/01/2013 and everything whent well until they asked me for my driving record(H6) I just got my CDL-A in 07/2012. The last tickets I got where in 03/2007 & 10/2007 so ite been 5 years since my last ticket. They asked me that they had to check with their insurance because of those infractions so they told me that they would let me know by Wednesday of the following week if it was a go or not. one was an unsafe lane change and the other was making a right turn and not stopping so the camera flashed me. These I know where 1 point infractions each so I had 2 points at the time. I now have a clean record with no points as of 2010 and my question is ****If the points that I had in 2007 are going to affect me to get this job? Has anyone ever had a similar situation to this....Thanks in advance

Being over 5 years old on 2 minor infractions won't be that bad. If you've been clean since then,no worries.

Most companies do 3 for tickets, 5 for accidents

it means they will look at your MVR (motor vehicle record) into the last 3 years looking for tickets, so back to Jan 2010, or 5 years looking for accidents, back to Jan 2008. If you have nothing during those times, you are good,.

However, that's just an industry base. Any company can look back to when you first got your license, if they so desired. Most don't tho.

Keep putting in applications; some companies are self-insured & can bend their own rules. Check Careebuilder website.
