Exclamation Sliding tandems

What do I do to redistribute the weight on my unit in the following situations:
1-overweight on my steers.
2-overweight on my drives.
3-overweight on axles 4 or 5.

Thanks for your help.

Slip Sliding Away

1. Slide fifth wheel back.

2. Slide trailer tandems forward.

3. Slide trailer tandems back.

If you happen to have all three situations at the same time, then you redistribute the weight from your wallet to the DOT when you try to cross the scales.

If you're talking all at ONCE, you're S.O.L my friend. Heynz57's got the right directions. Just remember that the weight increments are commonly 500lbs per hole on the 5thwheel slide, and 250lbs per hole on the tandems. (trailer) Maybe stating the obvious, but the weight will be re-distributed to the other axle.

Roofing is easy to carry from one end of the trailer to the other. Sliding cases of beer across the top of the load is a bit more difficult. Been there.....

It may be that you reversed the 5th wheel with the tandem figures, the tandem can have 6 inch or 4 inch increments and the 5th wheel can also have different increments.

on the tandems there are trailers with 250 pound holes (usually about 3 inches apart) and 500 pound holes (usually about 6 inches apart) you will have to look. from wht my trainer told me, most of the newer trailers are all 500 LB holes

From what I have seen on most trailers, is holes at four and six inches, typically a hole will relate to 300 - 400 lbs. Pat I think your trainer might have been misinformed (or maybe I am). Ive never heard of a "500 lb hole" before, unless your on the outskirts of LV
