Any trucking school worth their weight will have FASFA or at least alternative types of financing. They will also have you pre-hired before you even finish schooling. Most companies that hire drivers new driving will even have tuition reimbursement programs. There is no reason, none at all for attending a trucking company trucking school. Plus if you do attend their school they receive the tax credits and you lose them. Trucking companies also do it cause then they can have you agree to a contract 100% in their favor. Once that contract is in placed you screwed, they can keep you out for months, they can pay you less, the can treat you like crap all they want, and they can even starve you of miles. You can't leave and if you have any ideas of leaving they will slap you with fat bill for the training, house, any meals they provided, and even for medical exam. Then they will also slap it on your DAC just to seal the coffin shut on your career. Then find you own way home and look for a new profession cause no one will touch you with a 39 and half foot pole with that on you DAC.

That is absolutely not true a driver always has a choice who to run for and being all you have to do is run 1 year for them and the schooling is free c'mon thats awesome and they give you a check as well. And no that don't treat drivers bad nor do they leave you stranded or attack you dac .If that has happened to you to need to say that if you heard it from someone else then it's hear say...

Should School be back in the question if ive been sitting idle this long?
My only concern is staying sharp double clutching seein that, that was
The only way i learned to drive. I need a company that'll be thorough, or
More hands on, Not just say "You got your class A, train for two weeks and
    Drive to chicago"

Thank you for the quick replies staybusy.
Whats funny is back in feb. I went out for my first company
In OH. I failed the road (F. Excuses) . The Recruiter directed me to go to FFE because they have a longer training program. Im willing to do what ever it takes at this point

They all required 2+ years OTR experience, Class A CDL, Tanker, Double Trailor, Triple Trailor, and HAZMAT endorsements. With HAZWOPER a requirement in addition for other Gov driving jobs. Many Gov driving jobs require the previous, with 10 years OTR experience, and passenger endorsement.

Everything I've found, requires OTR experience, with a Class A CDL.
