Im still a rookie I have 22 months exp but I hqve managed to keep my self clean except for getting stuck in the mud at a shipper which got me a preventable when the wrecker damaged my bumper but I am comfrontable except for scales always think I hope I didnt miss anything they might see or find in inspection.

I tell you one thing these new hrs are a joke and lets hope they can get these hrs reversed here in a few months

Restarts once a wk isbs I burn my hrs every 6 days and do restart then do another 6

Im a night driver and why do I need 2 rest peroids between 1-5 am I only work nights my 1-5 is pm for me im going to lose $$$$ its bs

I arrived at shipper at 1 and waited til d/h was read at 6 and then I had to take break to drive my 3hrs back but only had 1 1/2 until I did my break thats just dumb

Morons making laws the hrs were just fine 14/11/70 they screwed it all up

I wouldn't give up that easy. Unless that is you want to. Not every job is suited to every person.

Put in apps, you never know and if someone bites but says they will put you with a trainer again. . . jump. Sounds like what you need anyway. Experience only comes with time.

A friend of mine got in an older residential neighborhood by mistake and no place to turn around. Driving real slow trying to figure out what to do. Some people started running beside the truck yelling for him to stop. He was taking down the cable for cable TV and had about 3 blocks of that cable dragging and hooked on top of the trailer. He saw a street just ahead so told the people he would pull in there and stop and call the company. When he turned into the side street, as luck would have it, there was the entrance to the interstate. He stopped before getting on the entrance ramp & removed the TV cables, then on to the interstate and never looked back. He never heard any thing about it afterward. Stuff like that happens more than you might think; protect your livelihood.

    #### you China! Brought back some memories of Chicago area. I missed a turn and ended up in a residential area creeping along like a snake trying to avoid those #### cable lines. Still don't know how I made it out.

I had a 40 foot container of furniture going to a private residence in a fancy, gated community in Florida the first year I drove. It was difficult to get to the house, and when I got to the house, it had a circular driveway that was a bit too tight for the truck to get up, but the owner told me to pull up it anyway. (he had a crew waiting to unload) He told me 'don't worry about the grass'.

OK, I didn't. All was ok until I needed to get out, and there were some fancy light fixtures he didn't want me to run over, so told me to drive across the grass. There was one new seedling tree in the way. The owner of the house told me 'Don't worry about it, run it over, I don't like it anyway'.
    I did.
I didn't get to the street fully when the neighbor from next door came running out, yelling 'You're going to pay for my tree!!!!' The tree was actually on the property line, on his side, but you really couldn't tell.
Of course the jerk in the house I delivered to ran into his house laughing, and wouldn't answer the door.

I don't know if the company every paid for the tree, but, I do know the 'neighbor' had a jerk to live next to for a while.

(they were rich arabic types, ordered a container load of the ugliest furniture I had ever seen, from Italy)
