General Questions

I'm heading off to Swift Trucking School here in about a week. I'm just curious what's generally a good idea to bring with you.
I guess I'm basically asking what is good to bring with you gear wise and is bring stuff like a cell phone and lap top advisable. Just curious is all.
Thanks.

Before you go to swift I would take the time to read the many threads on this board about them and how they treat drivers. There are better options out there for someone just starting out.....swift is NOT the place to go...PLEASE rethink that choice. Just type their name in the search box to get more information...it might just help you NOT make a huge mistake.

Well I would think about backing out, but having the bus ticket in my hand kind of makes it hard to want to now. For obvious reasons.
I dunno, am reading currently a real positive experience about a kid from the Kansas City terminal. So it's kind of tipped me off that the KC terminal isn't that bad. Anyways if you read my welcome wagon comment you'll see why I ended up joining swift. Granted I spose one could say I could have joined Schnieder which there terminal is like 50 miles away from but didn't consider em at first.

One positive out of many many negatives?????????

Pretty poor odds if you want my opinion.

I still wouldn't do it.

As for the bus ticket just mail it back with a letter stating "some thing came up and I can't make it. Here is your bus ticket. Thank you"
They can't black mark your DAC. You never worked for them.
