a few months ago I went and renewed my medical card, 2 days later, let me say that again...... 2 DAYS later I was called to go to work for another company and was required to get ANOTHER medical card from their doctor. the fact that the ink still wasn't dry on my card did not matter. their insurance required me to use their doctor... so who runs this country again??

I think they only way they can totally rule out fraud, by doctors and applicants, is to require a physical at a site they choose but I think the employer should pay for it.

    mje and GeorgeDee Thank this.

Their company their rules....not trying to be a smart aleck...but if a hand doesn't agree with that then try another company...funny thing is though...that hand is gonna go take still another DOT physical.....One thing I do know, I've never seen a company required you to pay for a DOT pre-employment physical.....most times they pay for it or they do reimburse you....

    mje and GeorgeDee Thank this.

You guys are all wrong on your answers. The reason you need their medical office to do your physical is because.... the person that runs human resources needed enough staff to prove their worth for their bloated salary. So they had to start another dept. that they could now advance themselves to be in charge of. Then their wife's cousins neighbors brother needed a job so they put him in charge of making sure everyone went to their specified doctor.

    That's the condensed version.:biggrin_25525:
