Companies say they will reimburse you for the cost of getting it.

Some companies offer a bonus contingent upon the basis of many factors including getting a twic card and hazmat endorsement.

My question is this, what trucking companies (if any) do not require you to get a twic card or hazmat endorsement after getting hired on?

Who would want to work for rats like Werner anyway???? Get all the cards and endorsements you can and you will avoid working for chump change at rat outfits like Werner. Make yourself better and you will get better opportunities. Or be a cheap skate and make Mickey D wages for 70+ hours a week away from home. It's your choice.

    How about hazmat?

I don't want the added penalties associated with hauling hazmat. Will the company understand that it would be me paying the tickets if I mess up one of the rules for a hazmat load? Its my choice, so if I don't want it will they try to terminate my employment? They strongly recommend I get it, but its not a deal breaker right??

I had 1 applicant who could not understand that by having them it can mean the difference of sitting WAITING for a load or being dispatched , I never hired him as he was unsure of a lot of things and next it will be not wanting drive at night , in the rain , cloudy days

Stevens Transport doesn't require you to have either one, but they'll reimburse the cost of getting them if you choose to.

Wow not waiting to drive at night in the rain or on cloudy days? Those are the best times to drive. Little traffic at night, in the rain you get a FREE truck wash, and on cloudy days you don't have to deal with the blinding west sunset. Or blinding east sunrise.
