you are asking for a lot there. As far as financial aid, at any school certified by the US department of education, you can get federal grants and loans. Try community colleges or research approved schools. Or there are quite a few companies that have free training if you sign a contract to drive for them. Show some initiative and search these forums or search google and you will find a lot of information. As far as new trucks, probably not gonna happen. The trucks get tore up from student drivers real fast. And you have to be joking about the Automatics. Vary few trucks are auto. If you can't drive manual you have no business driving a truck, and WILL NOT get hired.

It would help to put your location in your profile, to better direct you to any local references or schools.
I'm not sure where the funds stand, but there is a govt program called WIA, that allows ppl meeting certain criteria to get funding for approved truck driving schools. This does typically take more waiting time, with paperwork, forms, and approval, but if you qualify and the funds are available, you can get a fully funded grant for the school.
This is one way of getting out of going to a Megacarrier like Swift or CRST, where you have to sign a contract for repayment via paycheck deductions.

Also, on automatics, you have to learn manual first, any less is not acceptable for a beginner. Besides, you would be cutting your own throat in being able to get hired anywhere.
I agree with chris886, if you can't drive manual, you have no business driving a semi. You can switch to auto-only, later down the line, if that is your choice.

US express and mavric both hire drivers to drive autos, but i agree you should at least learn manual.

many disagree with me, but IMO, school is just to get the CDL. Your not going to actually learn much. who cares about outdated trucks, if it gets you your CDL then thats all you need. Most schools dont buy shiney new trucks for training. Once you have your CDl you will do a 5 or 6 week training program with the company you sign on with. Thats when you actually learn how to drive. the school is just a name on your resume and CDL card.

As for financing, a lot of schools offer financing with no payments for 6 months or a year. Once you sign on with a company they will send you a bus ticket to get to their terminal. If you want to make money fast, i recommend TMC.

I was in the same boat you are, lost job, no money. Went and applied for state assistance and qualified for the program. They paid for all schooling here at our local college, all costs for taking cdl tests, all endorsements, fuel to get back and forth to school, and even bought me boots and heavy coat. They have you take some courses that they have like, resume making, how to do an interview and other courses but it was well worth it. Work for coal hauling company now for 6 months and love it. I would check with your city's workforce services or what ever there called, worst they can say is no. Worth a shot. Good luck

Need legal money... You know you need to be drug free for this job, right?

Probably not a real person anyway. Sounds like a troll. If not, I'd look for work elsewhere, you don't sound like the type to make it, even through CDL school, lol.
