My orient. was really boring, aside from meeting a lot of nice people. Mostly it was filling out a lot of paperwork: another app, getting a DOT physical, going through a roadtest-took 1/2 day, and then I had to wait for my trainer.

In a nutshell, be ready to wait, and stay patient, you are starting a new career, and you may want to go full tilt, but it takes time to get going.
So good luck!

Orientations vary according to different companies policies. You don't have to worry, just answer the questions your asked honestly on apted, listen to everything they tell you,pay attention to detail. When I was youger i never took notes, that was a big mistake, when I got into their truck,I forget some of those things like getting the qual com to work right, logbook the way they wanted it filled out. I strongly recommend bring a big yellow notebook, write everything down that could be forgotten later, write everything out again in steps that you would use this info and take the proper time to organize it all when you go back to your room at night. Some drivers get out to the bars and pool tables like they are on vacation,I believe these companies have spotters watching you drink and how you act,you could be being screened out and not even know it,also on your physical ck you don't want alcohol or bloodshot eyes there, not a very good ad for your occupation, would you hire a driver in the bar every night,I doubt it. Be on your best behaviour and you will do fine, stay away from the know it alls, and wiseguys, you will know what you have to and be a great asset and driver to all of us on the big road. Thanks for asking.
