picking up piss bottles today in community service

We were picking up garbage today along roads. There were many bottles with urine-colored liquid, and the label of the bottle was something that wouldnt be that color (coke, spring water, etc). As we worked our way down some roads, trucks would pass us. So I knew who was throwing those piss bottles. There were 9 of us, and I myself found 4 such bottles, along a total of about 4 miles we covered. I dont think littering in general makes me mad, but this kind of littering does. It's almost like they have contempt for everyone else.

Cool

Littering is littering, but that's just how nasty some people are. I feel the same way about cigarette butts. Thanks for cleaning up the roads by the way. I appreciate that.

Granted truckers do throw out p-jugs, but they aren't the only ones. There are far more cars on the road than big trucks

Well, the automotive industry is at least partly to blame here. My pickup truck doesn't have an ashtray.

Are you trying to say that of the P jugs on the side of the road, most are from 4 wheelers? Sorry, but I have a hard time believing that.

I can accept that if you can accept that my truck doesn't have a urinal.

I'm pretty sure truck drivers are mostly responsible for this problem. Low-class laziness, that's all it is!

Peeing in a bottle (while moving) is much more challenging than most people realize. There's no way I could do it in a 4-wheeler, because the seat is more laid back. You really need both hands to stay dry. Even a gatorade bottle requires some practice.

I suggest getting one of those hospital bed urinals. Only requires one hand, and you won't throw it away, but rather reuse it--requires occasional cleaning, of course.

Sometimes you've just got to do it, but hold onto the container, and POUR IT OUT in the grass at the next stop before dumping the bottle!

throwing out pee bottles is stupid. just put them on the floor and wait till your next stop to throw them away. they wont leak, its just like having a bottle of coke on the floor with coke still in it. the cap will keep the smell in.

and by the way, some people actually pee on their hands to keep them softer. and urine is a GERM KILLER. The ammonia in the urine actually kills germs. so if you think urine will hurt you, NOT SO. getting it on your hands will not kill you.

just dont drink it.

That's right. There are some baseball players that do it. Something about being able to get a better grip on the bat. When I start driving, i'll have a bottle for emergency purposes, for those times when you have to go and you see a sign that says "next rest area 50 miles". But I will pull over, and then have the decensy to toss the bottle in the trash at the next rest area. I hate a litter bug!
