Groendyke Transport

I'm new to this forum so I'm sorry if this is not the right place to post this question.

I am interested in knowing more about Groendyke, the good and the bad. Anyone worked for them before? I was wondering how they pay, if they have any kind of accessory pay, and about the bennies. Thanks a lot,

Ryan

For what little it's worth - I live in Albuquerque, and Groendyke runs many ads in the local paper. In my experience, that alone is good enough reason to stay away from them.

I also hauled gasoline for another company here - and I promise you I never heard anything but ######## from the Groendyke drivers. There was a story going around (which I sorta doubt) that the dispatchers carried guns to protect themselves from angry drivers.

If you want to haul petroleum products, I think it is best to get with one of the oil companies. Most want experience (3-5 years) but not necessarily fuel hauling experience.

Groendyke Transport

I worked for Groendyke Transport in North Little Arkansas hauling fuel. They pay percentage. It was hard to make a living because being the newbie I got the long hauls which meant low pay.
I dont know about the rest of their fleet but we always got the crap that came off the OTR fleet. ALL the trailers leaked. I marked it everytime on pre and post trip inspection logs, but never got fixed. Pretty scary hauling fuel knowing it was leaking. Probably why they where willing to let us get are truck washed every other day!?
It wasnt written, but verbally expressed that DOT and state would sit outside of where we loaded and that we were to radio in if we passed them on the way in so dispatch could re configure our loads so we would be legal weight.
I dont know how they are anywhere else but Little Rock terminal is bad.

I've talked to a few drivers at the racks in phoenix
and most seemed to enjoy working there.I know
that they don't advertise for drivers very often
in the paper so they most be doing something
right at their phoenix terminal.
