Got my CDL on WEDS.!

Well i started my 4 week CDL school last monday, started watching movies and studying for my permit monday morning then got my DOT physical in the afternoon. Tuesday i took practice permit tests and passed them all so Tuesday afternoon i went and took my 3 permit tests at the DMV passed them all first try.(most people dont get there permit till the second week)

The rest of tuesday i was in the yard practicing my pretrip and 45 ally dock and 100 ft straight back. Weds morning kept practing and decided to test out in the yard Wed afternoon, passed all three got a perfect on my pretrip and only got 1 point of each of the other(know im two weeks ahead of everyone else.(there were 3 guys that had been there for 6 weeks that couldnt pass the yard tests!) Thrusday and Monday and tuesday i got about 13 hours of driving time.

SO i decided id try and do my road test wed afternoon of my second week, it started raining hard right before we left but i passed with only getting 10 points off (25 is failing avg is 15) I already had my job lined up. so earlier in the week i called them to find out if they needed me to get my Certificate before i could start or just my CDL, they said as long as i get my CDL i can start orientation and training. So after much thought and conversation with my wife and my dad, i decided if i could pass my test early i would take it and go with out wasting two weeks of sitting around and gathering phony hours to get a cerificate. SO monday morning i start with PGT trucking two weeks earlier then what was planned so for the next month ill still be getting payed by the Marine corps(Im on terminal leave) and PGT. So i should be done with the somewhat low traing pay by the time my other paychecks start. I know i took a risk my lot getting my Cert but i believe i made the right desicion for my situation. Thanks for everyones helps with all my previous posts and questions. Andy
