Ey! This is Carlos, I'm part of a team working on a new company whose main goal is to help truckers connect with customers who want to ship. We know how to tackle the mathematical/technical/optimization part of it, but we still feel we don't know enough about the truckers' point of view/experience. I would really appreciate if you could fill in this short survey which asks for the biggest problems you currently face with respect to getting new loads.

STACK....key word....STACK....STACK your drivers...and dont make us wait 3hrs to get unloadedFEELTHEWHEEL, Bayou_baby and Rugerfan Thank this. -
you are welcome. my beef in this industry is people still think they are handling minivans. and there aren't enough experienced drivers running the offices or the phones.
FEELTHEWHEEL Thanks this. -
nothing like deadheading 176 miles to p/u empty trailer to drag it 5 miles to drop it for a preloaded assignment that is actually a live load, and you are not allowed to sit in your truck while loading. you have to sit in the shippers office from 30 minutes to 8 hrs, until your load is complete, your papers are ready, and/or you are fed up. then that same load goes 563 miles and can't deliver for 3 days>>>firm appointment
FEELTHEWHEEL Thanks this. -
applies fully!!!!

Shippers and receivers not caring about the drivers time, We are on a clock and that clock determines what we make $$$ or don't make!000 It is also imperative that we like mentioned before are Stacked up, I want to have a load I'm going to when I get unloaded, My clock is already running, It won't just stop and restart as you think a stop clock does, There is no stopping it till it has had a 10 time from out of the seat in the sleeper.
Joetro and FEELTHEWHEEL Thank this. -
The pee jug debacle! Lmfao, JK
luvtotruck, FEELTHEWHEEL and koncrete cowboy Thank this. -
Pre-Plans!! like others have said there is nothing worse than emptying out at 7 am and having to waste your 14 waiting to load again at 3pm... this is especially important when you are in say Los Angeles where there is little to no parking and you have to wait on a street somewhere and hope that someone doesn't complain or give you a ticket
77smartin and FEELTHEWHEEL Thank this.
