My wife and I will be graduating soon and are going to be teaming. Does anyone have suggestions for keeping laundry detergent and supplies compact? Does anyone have suggestions or tips about the shower rooms? Also, When are the best times to do both?

Laundry done on weekends. You can buy nice laundry bags at Walmart with compartments for detergent, softner bleach ect,ya I use more then just Tide to get clothes nice and clean with that fresh smell. You can buy plastic containers for your laundry supplies.Shower well chances are companies won't give you enough miles to keep you both busy so I think you'll find time without a problem.
Irelandmichael, tow614 and wd40 Thank this. -
Showers...always keep a can of lysol disinfectant with you and spray the showers regardless of how clean they look.
Laundry.. use powder detergent.. try to find laundromats near walmarts. The walmart in lexington, ne I80x237 has a nice one next door and plenty of truck parking. The Petro's laundry rooms are ok as well.pattyj, Irelandmichael, bergy and 2 others Thank this. -
Showers during middle of day. Usually no wait. Laundry is individual thing. most trk stops are still using standard washers (not high eff). I keep soap in zip bag. No box to take up space.
wd40 and Skydivedavec Thank this. -
So you would rather do laudry at Laundromats then a trkstop?I always have. Those ts washers have eaten up my clothes or stained them.
Skydivedavec and wd40 Thank this. -
I have seen truck stop washers where someone just washed clothes soaked in diesel fuel. I try not to use the truck stops but sometimes you can't help it.
wd40, Skydivedavec and gpsman Thank this. -

I use plastic totes for lots of things in my truck, including laundry. I put them in the top bunk since I only use it for storage. One tote for clean laundry, one for dirty. I keep a two wheeled cart w/ bungee for when I need to move totes.
I only wear white socks, undershorts, t-shirts, and sheets so I always have one bleach load and one or two non-bleach loads.
truckstops are more expensive and some of their machines are not very good, I've lucked out and spotted laundry's close to where I deliver before and been able to get it done. a lot of time they're in strip malls with plenty of parking. But honestly, I usually just go with whatever is convenient and use the truckstops, or preferably do it when home.bergy, Skydivedavec and wd40 Thank this. -
instead of worrying @ spilling laundry stuff, these have worked fairly well for me.
and oh yeah, like others have said, flip-flops / shower shoes are required.wd40, Irelandmichael, Pmracing and 3 others Thank this.
