| They have really nice pete's but from what I hear they can never keep them up or keep there buisness running properly. They have numerous violations from fed. DOT and state. I like my companies tractors, KW T-600 with 470 acert twin turbo CAT'S. These tractors are fully decked out with every option available including, remote entry power windows and all the cool stuff. They keep nice staughton and wabash duraplate trailers also. A.D. Transport Express. |

| trucks It was said a few times don't look at how pretty the truck is look at how they will treat you and how they will pay you. Make the most money in the shortest miles and get home as often as you want and still be treated like a human. Remember the phrase THE CHROME DON"T GET YOU HOME. I have drove every thing from a 1 stack mack to a show truck and believe me the show truck looked cool going down the highway and all so much so that every scale house wanted to take a closer look around back and make sure every one of those 250 lights worked. The last truck i drove was my 1996 FLD that i bought brand new in 1995 and it was plane as could be but it made me more money than all the shiny rigs i drove. |

I have noticed they are always picking on the big shiney trucks and they always gave me a pass. Never really understood why..... |

| The question was simply who do you think has the nicest truck, not who has the best Cpm or battle over the issue. My company has nice trucks fully decked out with only the lights req. by DOT and pays excellent Cpm with as many miles as you want to run. They get you home when you like and RLC is very considerate. |

| TMC does have some pretty trucks but I have heard that they are really strict on their drivers about keeping them clean, even going so far as doing the white glove test. I suppose the white glove is to check for dust. I'm thinking there are more important things to worry about on the road than keeping a truck spotless. Its good to keep it clean since you'll be living in it but the white glove test is taking it a little too far in my opinion. |

| Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. All mention has good looking trucks, So be it. What more important is how they pay, home time, equipment maintained, how hard they run you if the try to force you illegal or not and are they really honest with you? Many Recruiters will lie to you just to get you on board... I'm looking at starting my own little company. First I'll get good used trucks, then I'm thinking Mack Rawhide for a Company Imaged, cause most Companies uses Freightliners, KW, Petes and International. Few used Macks but not as many as the others. Plus the Macks are a good truck. But I would not want someone to come to work for me cause of the truck I have, but cause they like what I offer.

| Used to be and still is to some degree, those fancy wheels were to get your attention first, then your wallet, watch out,get the best bang for your buck, new shiny trucks sometimes make alot less for that hard working driver, the company has to pay for them, then you last, not fair but thats really the way most are to you. Get the best job for your experience as far as the money goes, then make sure of the type of work you want to tdo and put up with for a few years, then decide what you really want to do after learning about the different types. You may like local, tanks, food grade, fuel, water, oil, reefers, flats, dry vans, etc. Most of us older guys have done a little of everything deciding what we liked as we learned more about the trucking system and how it works to our needs. |
