Under 21 and driving over the road?

Nice little fine and out of service. Unqualified driver to drive interstate.

 

You aren't allowed to leave your homestate until you are 21.

 

What you are asking is how much trouble can I get into for breaking the law. Welcome to the world of criminal behavior.

A crime is a crime is a crime. The chances of you getting caught are slim. However, depending on the state, you could have your truck taken from you. You are violating a Federal Law and the punishments are usually way out of line. And you should know that if you are involved in an accident, no matter who is "at fault" you are libel because you should not have been there in the first place. And no insurance policy covers that.

 

Tough luck Charlie you're not allowed to leave your state driving and 18 wheeler until 21 but most companies request 23 to be the magic age.You can drive intrastate at age 18 which means ONLY your state.

 

You will be sent to the nearest juvenile detention center and then handed over to DSS who will place you in a foster home located somewhere in North Dakota....

 

There are companies that take drivers from 21 years old. But require at least 6 months experience.

 

All of you discussing what age you have to be, guess what it's a known fact so your post is worthless. I left state at 18 but I wouldn't do that now for it. You probably won't get caught at it, but if you do you might as well just bend over and get ready cause your life is going to suck. Play by the rules and drive for a farmer or grain hauler it's not worth trying to be an outlaw driving out of state anymore.

 

Farm is different rules.

I know of two that got caught driving smaller commercial vehicles while under 21. It may not happen. It might. Kind of like, do you feel lucky and have lots of money to burn?

 

If you drove out of state and had an accident and someone got hurt, even if it was the other drivers fault, Lord have mercy, they would have a field day with you. They would say if you were legal you would not have been there, hence the other car wou ld not have hit you. If someone died, I would think they would charge you and seek jail time. Yea slim chance, so is hitting the lotto but happens every day. But then again I am a worst case kind of person.
