I agree the "up to" game is a scam all I need to know is if I drive your truck 1 mile down the road how many pennies are you going to pay me. I can figure the rest out my self.

Ya can't blame a person for trying to figure out who will pay the most. If someone comes in here and says I only have a years experience and I don't want to make $.40 a mile I only deserve $.29 that is the guy that scares me. I see these adds on careerbuilder and Craigslist all the time and it amazes me that high pay, highest pay, above average pay, most pay, and great pay all are somewhere between $.32 - $.49 a mile. All I know if the add says above average pay or great pay and does not say what the pay is I know not to waste my time asking.

Go check out the oil field forum. There are a lot of companies that pay a lot more than over the road and your home everyday.

Maverick had a job listing for a driver that went from Wichita Falls to Houston. It was a dedicated run that paid $950 per week.
    Good luck
