    HI

I was wondering if anyone attended this school? Is so what did you think? At one time they were a PTDI school but like lots of other state institutions no longer are certified. When I started asking questions about their facilities the lady got kinda miffed. I just found out i might be eligible for some state funds and this school is on the list.

Crowder has an excellent facility. Many of my students went there as a whole, or were sent through by CFI for advanced training.

They also have a skid pad :)

Did the CFI "boot camp" at Crowder and was so impressed by their instructors I now carry the schools phone number with me to recomend to anyone who asks me about CDL schools. I believe their "regular" classes are 4 weeks long with the students staying at the schools dorms. Ask lots of questions, they dont mind and be prepared to spend tons of time behind the wheel.

Is there a difference between the CFI program there and the program i would be enrolling in? How many students per truck. I dont want to be standing out under a hot missouri sun watching while other students are driving.

    thanks

There is a differance...you will be a student. CFI drivers/trainees are getting additional training that was not offered in the other schools.

I've never been to Crowder personally. But trust me when I tell you that you will not be standing around watching other people drive for very long.

The number of students per truck I can not tell you.

What I can tell you is this. Everyone I have spoken with, worked with, and trained, that went through Crowder stated the same thing...They were impressed with the level of professionalism, and the additional training level they experienced there.

I used to trained for CFI, they made the switch from straight out of school to trainer. They started making all new students/trainees go to Crowder before they got on with a trainer.... The quality of the student drivers after that change was made...was the differance between night and day.

I have nothing but good things to say about Crowder (at this time), based on the quality of drivers that came from there.
