Here's my situation, a friend of mine lives in phoenix, had a room available so I made the move from San Fran Bay Area. Sold my car before I left, an old Toyota Camry, didn't think it would make the trip to phoenix. I want to go to swift for training here in phoenix, and get a ups address and have my license transferred over to a AZ license before I go to training. Spoke with a recruiter yesterday and she told me she still might need a 10 year California driving record. I want to avoid making a trip all the way back to Cali if I can avoid it.

    Chinatown Thanks this.

If am not mistaken you can request that info online on the CA DMV website. You'll need to pay for it but its worth it to avoid the trip

Some states won't accept a UPS address as a residence address. If it doesn't work, try Mailboxes Etc.

I got my AZ license transferred back to CA after my training. I showed up with my CA DMV printout in hand. You should be able to get it off their site. Good luck with the 800 number.

If you can get it, do it. I showed up to my orientation with my record in hand and saved some time. Also nice to have it so you don't accidently miss state when you got that ticket last April... Or was it June? Some companies will take that as you misrepresenting facts and bar you from employment. Its never a bad idea and in Michigan it cost under $20 bucks.

Edit: are you asking about needing it for cdl training or job training? Still doesn't change my feeling on it, but a company will run a full DMV and criminal check before they hire you, at least any major company.

Well ... they need 10 years MVR. So you either need to get your California records or wait 10 years in Arizona.

You will get an AZ license through swift regardless. If you don't have an address, they will put the address of the hotel swift uses.
