I have seen a lot of husband and wife teams but wonder if couples just travel all over with just the husband driving.

If you are a couple like that or know stories of other couples please share what pros and cons you have if you don't mind.

I seen on YouTube a couple named Nick and Sam putting up a lot of video's under NRS Adventures but it seems like they are no longer there. She did not drive but never got a chance to chat them up.

    Appreciate all info.

    Thanks

There's plenty that do - family and financial reasons are the only limiter usually.

Older couples, kids grown and out of the house, only one income needed, so wife joins hubby on the road for sightseeing and company. So long as they can get along full time, it would work fine. I'd personally go nuts if I was the jump seat occupant full time, but that's me.

When you get back in the sleeper and your all alone the answer will come to you lol

Actually my wife is awesome and my best friend and we look at it like an adventure / job.

I am sure we will have our moments but we have no worries and just want to travel around and make a few bucks in the process.

Have been trying to check for companies that allow the wife to travel with me.

I think I might have asked this question or something similar here or on another site but cannot find it if I did.

I am planning on taking, allowing to ride along, sucking up to/brown nosing,or whatever this gal i've been seeing for 19 months now.that in and of itself has been the equivalent of an eternity but that is another topic.anyway, she is an RN for a hospice and we have determined that to tag along with me would provide for her a form of escape from her daily grind of dealing with those that are at or near death.
hopefully for a week at a time, that week will not shackle/stifle me as I am not a team(she will be a passenger only but the concept of another in the truck for that length of time will make it feel as if i am teaming i am thinking-) driving type,NEVER HAVE,NEVER WILL as being that cooped up with another will surely be claustrophobic.

I am actually looking forward to it somewhat. It'll slow me down, limit my cb rambo-ing,force me to pit a little more often, and have someone to write the mileage between states down for me.will her handwriting throw my ocd into overdrive being mixed in with mine on that spiral notebook page? no she does not read this forum.

In reality, other than the previously listed items(ha!),having her along will provide the opportunity to lolligag a bit and soak in some of the areas of the country that i generally get on through rather quickly.it may turn into a fiasco or it may prove to be an enjoyable experience.we shall soon see.

Kids are grown, nothing holding us back and think we would really enjoy it. My wife is still a little unsure about driving so that's all good for us, maybe after a while she will want to drive but I think we would rather just enjoy the ride together and keep each other company.

i look at some of the people in my family that are now retired.

when they were working, they got along good. they had that seperation timeframe.

now that they are retired, they no longer have that timeframe. and man, can they get grouchy. LOL.

My wife and I packed everything into storage and hit the road last summer. We never looked back. We are saving plenty of cash and building the balance sheet. We get along great, I feel no stress, and look forward to a secure future. Don't know if I've ever been happier.

    Lots of Guys do it..
    I don't think I would..but that's just me.

If you don't have your CDL yet...you will probably not be able to take her along during your training.
But after that it should be ok.
