Next week I am taking 5 days off, not at home. I don't know if I can park my truck unattended at a truck stop? Any ideas would be appreciated.
Where do I park?

that is something you're going to have to discuss with your company
I always left it unattended at a truck stop, I always swung by twice a day becasue 1) the truck had a terrible battery leak so I had to idle it for a bit, 2) to check the Qualcomm and see if I got any loadsblairandgretchen Thanks this. -
Parking at a truckstop IMO would be the best. Leaving it unattended in some dirt lot is just asking for it. Call around to some of the truck/trailer repair shops and ask if you could park it with them for the week. Might cost you a few bucks.

Check with the boss - and with the truck stop, and then check on it daily.

You should have a company policy on this issue that would be your best resource. You are responsible for the safety of your equipment. You may leave you truck unattended in a truck stop but all damage is on you.
I live in Kansas City and I have an arrangement with folks that have a secured parking area in the caves here in KC where I parked my stuff. I have just bought a new Volvo and a new Vanguard Dry Van and will park them there also.
You can use Google to find a place that is secure to park your rig. 5 days is too long to do it for free so be prepared to pay 10 or so a day. Other companies will have drop yards and they allow others to pay for the right to park there. -

I wouldn't park my truck un-attended at a truck stop. What happens when billy comes in at 1-6 am tired and backs into you. Everyone else is just about sleeping and now you have to take the licks from your company because one you weren't there and two the truck was unattended. Call your local police ask where you can park?

Many have learned the hard way, not to park in the wrong spot. If you have it towed away it can cost you upwards of $500 to get it back. I live in Austin where parking a truck is at a premium.
Being an O/O I leave nothing to chance. It costs me $140 mth to park in a secured lot, but worth every penny.
No excuse to leave it in a place where it can easily be stolen. -
Look for a secure storage facility that allows RVs and campers. I agree with other posters in that I have no problem paying for secure parking. Do you think anyone would stop someone getting into a truck at a truck stop and driving off, looks perfectly normal. What if you saw a tow truck pulling a rig out of a truck stop, would you stop and ask the guy what he is doing? Nope. And your neighbors at the truck stop change every day and unfortunately there are other truckers that will notice when a driver is away from the truck for a few days and empty it out for you.
It happened on this forum just the other day, nice KW660, went to check on it, gone, qualcom unplugged, no trace. -
