Mine was issued 7/16/2013
I was given no information on expiration
I was told by 2 20 year vets that my permit is good as long as my license is
It's a Texas cdl permit
CDL permits, how long are they good for?

I think your local DMV would be the ppl to ask.Surprised it doesn't have an expiration date.

in utah. ANY permit is good for 2 weeks to 6 months. and comes with an expiration date of 6 months from issue date.
but our licenses are also only good for 5 years.
don't know if it still stands but my sister once lived in arizona. when she got her license. it was good for 25 years. don't know on permits though. -
I'm in Texas too and the DPS told me that it was good until my DL expired. But, when I got the paper permit, it had an expiration date on it, 90 days later I believe. My school was concerned when I had to cancel my road test the first time because of the expiration date.
I'll dig out my papers and see if I still have it. I would call the DPS first thing in the morning though. -
I advise anyone who passes thru AZ to get one. You can get an ID card without having to surrender a DL. It could come in handy some day. -
90 days.......
