If your company allows you to take your truck home, do they mean just that or are you allowed to bob tail around?

How would we know what your company policy is concerning taking the truck home? I'd ask your safety director or dispatcher or any other person who works for and knows the policy of your company.
-
Its a question in general.... im not drving yet...
-
Oh ok. I would assume that most companies wouldn't want you joy riding around in their truck during home time.
-
They will know if you ride around; those Elogs will snitch on you.
-
Totally... The reason I asked is becuz I can remember my dad driving for CCC out of Florida, when he wld come home on the weekend he drove his rig everywhere... if he went to church...he drove the rig... family cookout/hangout at a relative house...he drove the rig... even if it was just to get a haircut...so I was askin just to see what do the company mean when they say you can take the rig home...
OPUS 7 Thanks this. -
Most companies probably won't allow that.
Some will allow you to drop your trailer and Bobtail home
But drive around while you're on hometime. Don't think so.
Better get a car. -
I park trailer at friends farm, Bob tail home, we have half hour off duty driving so usually day before I go out I use that and go to Walmart to restock
