Hi,
I am completely new to the trucking industry. I signed on to go to the CR England school in Fontana, CA. I was sent home after I misplaced my Social Security Card and I had to order a new one. While I was there there was a lot of yelling and screaming done by a guy named Rich and a Doctor. I am wondering if this is a good company to work for. I passed the test they gave out and everything else but I wasn't able to find my social and had to leave until I get a new one. I am looking for a trucking company that pays for trucking driving school because I don't have $5,000 to give out. Can any of you recommend anything? CR England seems like a good opportunity but I saw on another forum that there is some questionable things. Thanks.

CR England is possibly Satan in a corporate form.
Paid training? Try Swift instead.goblue, wyldhorses, Shaggy and 4 others Thank this. -
Them sending you home means someone above is looking out for you.
Here's some ideas to consider:
JBS Carriers - pays for Roadmasters private school.
Schneider - pays for private CDL school.
Southern Refrigerated Transport - pays for community college CDL school and provides hotel room at Clarion Hotel & some meals.
Swift
Prime Inc.
Midwest-coast Transport
Knight Transportation
Note * Be careful on paperwork these schools want. Example, they may want to see original Social Security Card or whatever, so if you show up with a photo copy, you again get sent home.Last edited: Aug 20, 2014

Welcome to both this website and the trucking industry! Since it looks like you're a newbie on this site, it's full of great information about all kinds of stuff... including lots of info about CRE. Since you're considering England, I hope you will first take a few minutes and review some of the details posted in their own section at http://www.thetruckersreport.com/truckingindustryforum/cr-england/
As you'll see, the TTR site is a great research tool and there are lots of guys/gals on here willing to help out other drivers. Good luck with this new road you're heading down!blairandgretchen Thanks this. -

If you wan't you can go through your states workforce investment act and get $5,000 towards your schooling. -
Stay away from CRE at all costs, it is getting close to winter time and you will really go broke.
wyldhorses and blairandgretchen Thank this. -
There is lots of argument about what the "Best" trucking company is.
There is NO argument about what the "Worst" trucking company is.
And the worst is CR England.
You are better off being unemployed than to work at CR England. And no, that is not a joke it is the truth.Drac1985 and blairandgretchen Thank this.
