So I just came back from doing my phase 1 training with CR England with no issues.....
I go to their colton ca yard for upgrade and complete a backing and road test.....
I do the back test, no problem....piece of cake
I conduct a road test with another trainer, 15 min tops, right, left, right, left, 30mph, blah blah blah.....simple.
When we get back, the instructor tells me, to go in the classroom and take 3 quizes....i passes all the quizes.
An hour later their corporate headquarters calls me from Utah and said I failed the road test and that I'm fired.
You gotta be freaking kidding me, there's no way I failed that test....it was easy. So in disbelief I go to the examiner and asked how could I have possibly failed a road test after just driving 25k miles with a trainer with no issues???
Dude started making up all kind of crap and said sorry and good luck.....no chance of re-taking.
The road test was probably 4-5 miles of driving, that's it....all turns. I can't believe this. I demand a new trainer and corporate said No.
There's no way I failed a road test especially topping 30-35 mph. It was retarded easy.
Now I have corporate calling me telling me I still owe the money, and that if I don't pay, I won't be able to work anywhere else.
Is this true? I have my hard copy cdl and have a few owner operate friends I'm trying to drive for.
This is insane.....screw ENGLAND.
Any feedback regarding any license issue I may have will be helpful.
Wait til you hear this......

Bet you're wishing you'd have listened to all those that said stay away from CRE, huh?
"There's a sucker born every minute" used to be the mantra of P. T. Barnum. CRE adopted it as their own.Scoots, Chinatown and joseph1135 Thank this. -
Same game, different contestant. Sorry to hear this.
pattyj Thanks this. -
Im wondering if maybe your trainer threw you under the bus, before you got back to test out?
Its not a loss, even though it feels like it is.
Document everything!
You can do better and I don't even know how you drive. Its England after all -
I looked out of both mirrors the whole way, on turns, I looked out both mirrors to make sure I wasn't going to hot anything, I came to complete stops, up shifted/down shifted with no issues.....brought the truck back in one piece......this is crazy.

My trainer was cool.....i told him what happened and he couldn't believe.
There's no way I failed that test....i had no issues with road test when I was still in the classroom. To do 25k miles on the road, come back and fail a freaking road test??? Something doesn't ad up.... -
Sounds like something else and they used the road test as an excuse. Like someone else said, "and the driver shortage continues".
HeWhoMustNotBeNamed, Toomanybikes and Big Don Thank this. -
they can't keep you from getting a job. There are a BUNCH of carriers who would love to have you on board (I personally recommend Schneider).
One other IMPORTANT thing......don't accept any certified mail (that's the bill). tell everybody in your house to do likewise. Didn't get the bill???? Oh well.
