The Company i work for supplies full uniforms, pants and shirts. Coveralls if i wanted them.
I personally just wear the button up short sleeve shirt and ditch their provided pants. My history with those doesn't fair to well, when it comes to them either getting snagged on something and ripping, or the rear end ripping out of them. I choose to wear carhart double knee bibs. (aka overalls)
Unloading and loading, chaining and strapping a flatbed just needs to have more durable clothing.
when it comes to shoes, i think that is the most important thing. I have never felt bad about spending money on a good pair of steel toe boots or a good pair of sneakers. At the end of the day, that is the one item that will make the difference.
I have always done my best to look professional for the job i am doing.
One thing is for sure, i don't think it matters what you wear, as long as your clothes are clean, you have your personal hygene under control ie. teeth brushed, hair combed ( if you have hair, i don't have to worry about that ) and you have some pit stick on.
So good luck to ya buddy, it will take some time to figure out what works for you.

I dress cute, a little Boho Chic. My goal is to not look like a trucker.
TarnishedSoul Thanks this. -

I've been giving some thought to ditching my shoes while driving. Barefoot is so much more comfy- and safer than flip-flops.

lol - my feet only get that way after having been in boots all day. Nowadays my sneakers have all kinds of mesh on them,so they get plenty of air anyway.
Of course, if it's been a day or so since my last shower and it's warm outside (read: above 80), yeah... you may want to stay upwind.
or if I had bean burritos for dinner... -
