Goin into the lease OP with KLLM. Debating on which truck to get. Any ideas on which truck is better they have 2014s for both. The Volvo has d13 engines.

Leasing with less than a year's experience? Doesn't matter which truck you get; odds are, you'll be bankrupt before summer.

Seriously, though, there's not a whole lot of difference between the two as far as reliability goes. Both are good. Get the one you like.

Drive their trucks for some time switching over from truck to truck as they need repairs, then you can pick the type you want to drive?

I'm currently in a 2015 Volvo 670, 6X2 with an iShift and D13. I love it. Drives like a cadillac and my fuel mileage on the I-5 corridor, L.A. to Seattle, running heavy loads up to 48k lbs is excellent. My overall average is currently 7.4 mpg.

    I'd go Volvo.

Although, it seems like all the company has do is through in a new truck and people sign on the dotted line...

Volvo.... freightliners are nice when new but fall apart rather quickly (interior)

If it's an evo, the mpg on that would be more than enough incentive to spring to the freight shaker side. Yeah, crapcadias look like and ride like crap...but you can't argue with 9.5 mpg without even trying to be conservative. 6.5-7 ish was what I could squeeze out of my meatball, granted that was running an isx and a road master.

Volvo makes a great truck, but the best truck is the one with the highest amount of uptime, lowest cost of maintenance and highest mpg.
There are other factors, but none of those will make a bit of difference if the truck isn't moving with a paying load sitting on the back.

It depends on the models. If its the base model Freightshaker or Volvo than it'll come down to maintenance price, mpg, and warranty length. Truck manufacturers tend to save their top notch driver comfort packages for their higher end models.
