why do bobtails park in a spot that has no way "out" and then park all the way in the back of the spot to where it looks like an empty spot? why do they do that? is it so hard to pull up in line with the other trucks so that others can see you?

I am guilty of driving bobtails, but when I park I park all the way forward so people can see me, I also park where people can see me

I don't believe the bobtails have any choice in the matter. They go where their driver puts them.

Are you talking about places like a truck stop? And they park all the way at the back of the spot, so you can't see them and you think it is an empty spot? If you are, my guess would be they do it because it may be quieter? Maybe so they don't have to listen to the reefer units right outside their window?

I park in the same spot with another bobtail if the driver is in the truck, but then again I rarely bobtail. It's just common courtesy.

Most drivers park deep in a spot because they don t want their truck tore up by some numb nuts that can t back into a spot. Or they may have someone meeting them at the truck stop so whoever s meeting them can just pull in the spot and park in front of them

Yep. But then I'm guessing that you have never tried to take an extended break in the fuel island either. It's just a different world today.

Its almost as bad as a mega carrier with about 20 bobtails in the truck stop parking lot taking up quite a few spots when they have a terminal a few blocks away to park at.

Now that I HAVE done. When I had been talking to the other driver and knew he was less than about 20 minutes of arriving, and an almost empty parking lot.
