First question would be home time? I was told since I'm regional I would make it home during the week, and have 2 days off per week. Pay I was told 61,000 -80,000 a year.
40.5 cents a mile as well. Any of this true? I am supposed to leave this Sunday for orientation in Chicago if I want the job.
We have 9 kids home school and a small local business. I just want to make sure the things I have heard are true.

    Thanks

Nine kids wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Somebody is having bad luck with JB thanks to the recruiter.I'll see it I can find the thread and post it here. But this person is home everyday but was told they would be making at least this amount and not even close. You need to keep in mind recruiters will say anything that sounds good especially jb.I doubt any of the recruiters ever drove trk.In all honesty they don't have a clue what the drivers will be making and what exactly your job will be.

Almost sounded to good to be true. Hoping I'm wrong. I thought this would be a good place to ask.

I'm not a local driver like her husband. I am intermode/flex fleet.
I go from Chicago to Minnesota but than Green bay, Appleton and other Wisconsin cities. They were saying average pay is $1350 a week. About 2300 miles a week or more if I want it.
    Is this not true?

Your best bet will be to find somebody on that particular fleet to talk to. It may be true, but just remember one person's bad experience on a totally different account is not the same. You need to compare apples to apples....but yes I am aware of intermodal drivers that average that much a week

One be thing to consider as we head into winter. Running up there during winter time could see some low mileage weeks due to weather.

JB should pay you a little extra for poking Schneider in the eye.

How are you getting 3000 miles a week for 60,000?

Sounds like it could work. Probably a lot of Ft. Howard paper down to the rails in Chicago, and freight "all kinds" coming back up, which could be a little demanding. If you live around GB or Fox Valley, you'll get by the house. Have fun with I-43 this winter.:biggrin_2559:
