Hello everyone , I am thinking about getting my CDL and start driving but 1 and 1/2 years ago I got a ticket in my personal vehicle.

72 in a 55 :( I had asked this question before but could not find it. If I wait to drive after 3 years will companies hire me or will this 15 mph + over always look bad.

I think I can get it removed or at least lowered to under 15 mph.

The Lawyer said it will cost $600

By the time I am ready to start CDL school the speeding ticket will be 3 years old. Hate to spend the $600 but if it would be better in the long run I will try to have it taken care of.

    Thanks for any advice !

3 years is a long time. If you have a heavy foot. Want to be a driver don't break the traffic rules.

By the time you say you'll be ready for school, you should be fine, (if you can keep your driving record clean.)

The best companies still wont hire you. I only hire drivers will 100% clean records. For 600 bucks, id pay and get it reduced. Under 10 looks a lot better. over 15 is almost reckless in some companies eyes. going 69 or going 72 is a HUGE differance when it comes to insurance and employment.
