Fight it in court?..are you disputing or will you be contending you weren't in the 3rd lane?.. or contesting his radar accuracy and you weren't speeding?
Just wondering what part you will be "fighting"? -
i want to disputed it, well i wanted to because i just notice on the ticket that i would have to go to court on the 25th of this month, i am on my way to North Carolina i dont have no time for that ! thanks

Call the courthouse in the county the ticket was issued(its on the ticket)..

And stay out of the third lane from now on. In most states it is a no no. When in doubt stay out.
Pmracing Thanks this. -
If you were on a 4 lane Highway than the #3 lane is legal, unless it was Signed: All Trucks Right Lane Only. How many lanes wide was the Highway you were on and which one was it?

3rd lane tickets in CA tend to run $350-$450 range. The county you got the ticket in will determine the cost.

If it's West Covina it's 243$ and you can call after 2pm to ask for a continuance. I postponed mine for a year.

It is an infraction, which is the lowest level of charge you can have. I have spent about 20 minutes searching California Vehicle Code, but I'm unable to come up with their fines for this violation.
As Trckdrvr said in post # 5, call the court phone number that is on your ticket. Ask them if there is a way to fight the ticket without appearing. Some jurisdictions in California will let you fight a ticket "by declaration." If this is one of those jurisdictions, they will tell you the steps you need to take. They will also tell you the amount of the fine.
Whatever you do, TAKE CARE OF THIS TICKET! Whether you fight it, or pay it, TAKE CARE OF IT. Keep in mind that in addition to the fine there will be points on your license, and it will show up on your DAC.
