Honey and I are receiving prehires. Our classes end in a few weeks. We had looked at Company A because they train husband and wife together. We have been married for 30 years and several months of training separated does not appeal to either of us. Then we found out that Company A has you at student pay $525 for 7 months. They have phase one and phase 2 of training.
Is seven months normal for being under student pay?
Suggestions?

Ok, this was my fault. I relied on what I thought was the company page and when I looked back it was a forum page (different forum not ttr) which had the company logo and came up under the google search "Company A rate of training pay" It was how they paid at one time but the page is out dated and incorrect.

Be careful. I've never heard of Company A.

7 months? Sounds like company C, R, and E.

exactly my thought. Also how they put you through phases. -
Roehl uses phase training too.

You can train together at Watkins / Shepard... you will go broke. Do not expect to get paid. You will see awsome views of the country for the first time together with your wife (no one else with you). The company sux for teams though. However; get 3 months team experience through them, and jump ship to USXpress...they will hire you. If you get on the USXpress Ceva account, then you will be earning a good guaranteed weekly income.... sounds like a crappy plan, but if you want to train together, then afterwards...make 4700mi. a wk or more at 50c mi.... it's a very good option to consider ( the sign on bonus was sweet also)... I'm not a recruiter, I'm a truck driver that got saved from Watkins Shepards lies by listening to a friend on this sight. In the end, I'm glad it has worked out this way. I trained with my wife, I now have a good job in trucking. Good luck my friend. Your welcome to pm me anytime.
