I'm not a truck driver yet but I would like to move to Southern California (Los Angeles Area) and get my CDL but I'm afraid the paycheck won't be enough. Are there any of you who live in California ? And if yes, do you like it ?Could you list here some pros and cons ? -Travie

Your question is too broad. Niece moved there a few months ago and makes $100K and said it takes that much to live outside the ghetto.

No they all took off until winter time. That is like asking if there is any water in the ocean! lol
-
Why would you want to move here? Vacation here if you must, but this state is circling the drain...
Chinatown Thanks this. -
And thanks to those clowns in scaramento we are now the first state to outright ban one time use plastic bags..And if we want papee its 10cents per.

I just came from Ca.
The place is insane.
You have to be rich to live there.
Some of the dispatchers were paying
$2000 a month just for a small apartment! -
100K to live out the ghetto ? What about the median people who make $26,391 a year ? They all live in the ghetto or in an apartment with 10 roommates ? Lol. Sure, you might pay 2000$ for a small apartment near the beach but if you live maybe in the suburbs I guess it's better, for example in Corona (50 miles from L.A.) you can find a house, maybe even with a pool for 300-400K, and Corona is not Compton.

I agree, people are leaving in droves. My daughter just moved back to Wis. after 5 years in L.A., just had enough. Dry as a popcorn fart, and then when it does rain, everything lets loose. Fires, water rationing, gridlock on the roads at all hours, homeless people sleeping in your yard, need I go on?

Well I'm sorry to hear that, I only know someone who lives in in Van Nuys which is close to LA and a really great suburb and never told me these things, but he works as a firefighter and also has a wife who works so they make some money I guess ..

I have lived here for 59 years. Amazing how the OP starts if you live in CA and everyone else answer wuth mostly untrue statements.
Mt rent is 825.00 per month. Great weather year around. Lots of decent paying local jobs if thats what you want.
Sure there is high rent areas, Irvine, Beverly Hills, etc... But thats with every state.
There are certainly areas you dont want to live as well. But there is also great areas to live in.
Any futher questions PM me.Montgomery and Jaxx34 Thank this.
