recent trucking school graduate needing help please. thank you.

    Hi all. just graduated truck school. I really would appreciate it greatly if you guys would recommend me some good starter companies to apply for. I have been searching these forums for months. And the companies I am so far interested in apply for are Averitt Express, McElroy, Schneider, Maverick, and Old Dominion. Out of these companies, which would you apply for? I'm in the Dallas Forth Worth area. Any other company suggestions and recommendations would be greatly appreciated! I really would like to start off with a good company with good training. I'd like to start my trucking career right by getting on with a good company that will help me become a safe, professional driver. If possible, I would like to stay with my first company as long as possible and make a career there if it's possible. I'm new and willing to learn from experienced truck drivers out there about this industry. Thank you so much. :biggrin_25520:

    TMC transportation has some good freght in TX and even has some dedicated accounts. They are flatbed, which is more work, but the pay and training is top notch.

    Will OD take you right out of school? I'm actually in school right now in San Antonio with Sage. The school literally shares a building with OD and they won't hire us. They require experience.
