My truck was put in the shop on friday night around 7pm at Truck Enterprises in Hangerstown Md, company put me in Microtel behind there, I qualified for my 34hr reset prior to putting my truck in the shop and putmyself in the sleeper around 7pm, Prior to this I was on a Saturday-Monday morning reset, When I come back on duty monday afternoon, should I just accept my reset, or wait till I get home this weekend and take it then?

If you went to a hotel you should not be logged in the sleeper you should be off duty. But I would take my reset. Why not? Better than running on recap all week. If your restart started Friday night than you would be eligible for a reset next weekend during home time as well.

I put myself in sleeper because im under load, and not at home. I assumed that would be the correct way.

Does it really matter no. But per the DOT regs. Logging sleeper means you are in the sleeper. I don't see the big deal but if pulled for an inspection the DOT would most likely have trouble believing you spent all weekend in the aleeper. Also if you spoke up and said "I didn't I was in a hotel" they could technically get you for falsified logs

I will speak with my logs dept tomorrow and see whats up. No disrespect meant, but I would much rather listen to someone who knows what is ok rather than listen to a truck driver. If I should be in sleeper, she can make the edit and i will acknowledge that change with a qualcomm message.

No disrespect taken. Opinions from truck drivers is what you will get here. If you have Google ( the actual log regs) or the fmcsa Manuel you can look it up. It is pretty clear sleeper means time spent in sleeper berth.

By qualifed for a reset I'm assuming your last reset didn't start later than 7pm the previous Friday. If so I don't see any reason not to show one unless you expect to be home to start one sooner than this Friday at 7pm.

You're assuming that some administrative pencil pusher knows more about trucking than another truck driver?

If you are on elogs you should be able to edit any thing except driveline. just switch from sleeper to offduty before you approve.
