I got my cdl-b about a year ago but I have not yet worked a job that required it. Am I still legally bound to list jobs on my resume that fired me for minor road accidents that were not a cdl job? I dont intend to use them as a work history reference but I do have the incidents on my driving record. Do I have to say they were in a company vehicle?

I hope I am being clear. Thank you if you can help

I wouldn't explain any more than what's on the MVR.
No need for too much information.

I do not know the answer to your question. In my case though when I applied for company sponsored trucking school with Prime the recruiter found a job I had in the past that I did not originally tell her about. I was not trying ot hide anything, nothing bad happened at the job but still that was enough for them to take back their offer to hire me on.

Ended up having to go with CR England. Good thing for me they will take anybody that can walk through the door.

Some times jobs will report on your credit report as an employer and some employers check your credit reports. So, in that case it might have been one of those situations. A credit report is a GOOD source of jobs. because if you EVER applied for ANY credit and put on their your employer, that CAN possibly be recorded as your employer in your employment history tracked through the credit agencies.

Maybe that had something to do with it A Bug...

I dont know about you Vehemence, but I just got an invite to go to Knight's Squire program. it says you can not have more than 2 violations in 3 years. well 2 of mine are not on my record, but seeing murphy tends to bite me in the ###, I was straight up and honest and told her that I have had 3. the answer.... well your record only shows 1 and since you were really honest with us, we would like to have you out here.... Just saying apparently honesty goes a long way!

What you need to do is tell them what's already out there. Do not give more than they are asking and above all do not lie or cover up any item. If you're caught doing that the company could send word out to the word that you are a liar and can not be trusted. I'm not saying they would , what I'm saying is they could. There have been some records here that the companies have done such a thing. The trick is to use the company just as much ( or more ) as they use you. You'll want to come out clean and have enough experience to go after the jobs you like better.

It was a rural carrier associate job. I used my own car along with a postal jeep. Did it for 18 months but also had another job at the same time that I was doing for six years.

When putting down all the jobs I had I just listed I only included the six year job. Left the RCA job on good terms and all but I guess Prime thought I may have more stuff I was trying to cover up and just decided not to risk it.

SO Prime is that picky.... they check everything....and is the reason they told you so they wouldn't hire you?

The recruiter had me scheduled to start training two weeks from then. The next day however I see two emails. The first one asking to explain why they discovered I had a job that I did not list during that period. A few hours later there was another email simply saying that the position had been filled with someone more qualified.

I am not sure if that is the only reason. They get lots of applicants so I guess they can be picky like that.

Well if you now know that it is on your records where your future employers can see it, just chalk it up as a lesson learned and move on. The next job you are applying for you know to put it down. I mean you can't change a companies mind after they deny you, its an up hill battle that 95% of the time you will tumble back down to the bottom.
