Hey all. Haven't been on here in a long time. Mainly cause my computer is old. My question is concerning my medical card. Is my employer required to have it on file? Reason I'm asking is my boss has paid for the other drivers in my company to get theirs, but when it was time for me to have mine renewed, she said "that since she has never had to pay for mine before, she isn't going to now". So if it isn't required, I'm not going to give them a copy of it. Hell, she won't even get the front tires on my truck replaced and it sounds and feels like I'm driving on one of those rumble strips that are on the sides of roads.

this is a question for your employer. But most companies require a copy of your CDL and DOT Medical card on file before they'll even let you in a truck. That's just standard operating procedure. Give HR a call and ask 'em.

She doesn't know. My boss is also the owner and she uses this business as a tax write-off

Change jobs, unless you have good benefits.
Face the facts, that company is trying to force you to quit.
Quietly, without their knowledge, find another job.

Every company ive worked for wanted a copy of my med card as well as the long form.Otherwise just wait and see if they ask.It sounds like you're kind of fed up with their crap so I wouldn't go out of my way to even ask if they want a copy of med card.

Sounds to me like she's writing off more than taxes. From what you describe regarding your steers, she's also writing YOU off.

How are they going to know its for spite, just say you forgot.Make the company actually do their job like maybe being concerned about the card.Otherwise heck with it they don't want a copy fine by me.I sure as heck wouldn't worry or stress about it.
