Call a company and ask them.
I Worked for a company once that only needed you
to have a steady pulse to get hired.
i was one of the few who worked there that wasn't a jail bird.
Things may be a little tighter now a days.
Each company is different , all you'll get here at the forum
is speculation.

How old are you? That will play a bigger part in your employment than those misdemeanors will.

What were the misdemeanors? Were you charged as adult? Four months? So you are only 18 now? I don't know what minmum age is in Michigan to drive intrastate but to drive interstate you have to be at least 21. And a lot of companies want 23. Call some local companies and talk to them.

Is that 4 months or 4 years? How old are you now because you said when 17 and 4 months you may be 17/18?
I dont know the rules well but most recruiters I have talked to thru school have said must be 21 years of age to do OTR and I think that is a FED DOT rule?
Recruiters also said they do a case by case look at each person so if you see someone you want to go with and you have your CDL class A send them your information, the worst they can say is sorry not this time.
Good luck

Any drug offenses, no matter if it is as a minor or not (sealed minor records too often become unsealed) it is going to be one hell of an uphill battle. I will put it this way my friend (7 years army) if the Military won't take you, coming in to a trade (as what trucking is) you will have one hell of a time.
Wish you luck -
Yes, its a federal rule that you must be at least 21 to drive interstate crossing state lines (http://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/faq/what-age-requirement-operating-cmv-interstate-commerce).
Michigan will allow you to drive intrastate (within the state) at 18. No one here can say if anyone will hire you though, all you can do is apply to intrastate companies and see.Chinatown Thanks this. -

2 minor charges won't even keep you from the military. If you're still under 18, WAIT TILL YOURE 18!!!! Usually juvenile records are sealed.
