What would the best option to pursue for local driving in NYC? I have all endorsements except HAZMAT and tow truck but I am planning on getting them soon. I cannot relocate and this is likely my last chance at a career. Thanks

    No pressure, huh?
If trucking is your career of last resort, you won't last long.
It ain't like picking up cans along the road...

There's always another job somewhere doing something.
A thousand other jobs out there...
    Go back to school.

Im too old to go back to school and I have to work now. Trucking is the best option to make somewhat decent money because I am not good at anything else. I have only had menial jobs. $10 at most an hour is not going to cut it once I get married.

Your response was completely unnecessary and not helpful in the least.

I was asking for someone to point me in a general direction as far as local trucking in a big city.

    Not your sarcasm.

i'm not being sarcastic at all.
If you're too old to go back to school, you're probably definitely too old to get married. Think about that.
When you start trucking, you'll be getting about $10 bucks an hour, but you'll be working 60 or 70 hours per week, so you won't have to worry about being home very much. Imagine working two ten-dollar per hour jobs all of our waking hours and there you have local trucking.
This is the reality of the trucking industry. If you want more pay, you need to go into the market and get education and skills that are worth more than ten bucks an hour then market yourself appropriately.
Until you value yourself at more than ten bucks an hour, nobody else will either.
Just going trucking isn't going to give you the magical keys to earning $70K per year.
    Just a heads up, realistic.

    Good luck.
