Does anyone know what the two truck stops off of Millikin in Ontario, Ca charge for daily parking? Are there weekly rates? I can't find any info anywhere online what the actual fees are.

It's free for 24 hrs if you: buy 50 gals(i think) of fuel, or spend @$20-25 in the store, restaurant or shop. I haven't been out there in a year or so but I used to ask waitresses if there were any receipts that other people didn't take. Pretty easy to get enough for free parking.

$20 to park after 2 hours unless 50 gallons of fuel or $20 in the store.

I do not think TA or Petro do a weekly rate. They want to pull people in, get their money, and wave 'em down the road.

A little east on 10, next to the Rush Pete dealer is a place that is less per day and if I remember correctly does a small discount for a week.

There is a dude there that collects money so major rif raf level is controlled.

This is the winner and the same for either the TA or the Petro at this exit.

Going in to either the TA or the Petro you get a ticket from an automated dispenser. Going outbound you show that time stamped ticket with any receipts for purchases.

Both lots fill up on weekends as drivers get into position to make their early Monday deliveries in the greater LA basin. That's why stops as far as Barstow or Thousand Palms fill up as well.

I remember there is little truck pull off type deal just before the descent into the LA basin. Truckers could sleep there but there are no facilities.

On I-15, I-10, and back as far as I-40 there are many areas you can pull off without facilities. Even within the LA basin there are large areas of firmly packed, stony, and sandy ground on the side of the freeway or within exit areas that can be used. You just have to know where they are. It's far more intimidating for anyone coming into the LA basin for the first time or three that don't know of these "hip pocket" parking areas. There aren't any officially listed truck stops west of the TA/Petro that have anything more than half a dozen parking spots, and they are hard to get in and out.

If you are prepared to be self contained, with food and ability to camp out on your own, then there are places to park. Google satellite view can be a very good source for finding locations like that, which is something I use on a daily basis to find parking in areas I've never been... and that is often since I'm OTR.
